Giulia Ligresti Design X Elisabetta Franchi

          Elisabetta Franchi

Elisabetta Franchi Presents Giulia Ligresti Design X Elisabetta Franchi During Milan Design Week

MILANO, 15 Aprile 2024 – MILAN, 15th April 2024 – Creativity from two strong-willed, talented women comes together for the upcoming edition of Salone del Mobile and Milan Design Week.

Elisabetta Franchi invites celebrated designer and artist Giulia Ligresti to curate a window display takeover of the brand’s flagship store on Via Manzoni in Milan presenting the project “Giulia Ligresti Design x Elisabetta Franchi.”

Known for her use of statements and words in her artworks, Giulia Ligresti’s set of thought-provoking chairs and benches part of the 2018 “Imperfect Love” collection are testament to her enduring tenacity. They spark joy, reflections, conversations, and contrasting emotions.

The black iron “F**k” bench, the brushed golden iron “Love” chair set and the “Heart” armchair displayed inside the boutique’s windows engage in a dialogue with Elisabetta Franchi’s spring/summer 2024 collection, marking a celebration of the unconventional, strong, and bold style and personality of rock stars able to create heavenly music.

The window installation brings the audience into an otherworldly universe. Through the use of contrasting lighting evoking paradise and hell landscapes, the unique set up serves as an invitation to reflect on the ongoing battle between good and evil.

The fearless and daring creative expressions of the two women speaks to one another, in the contrast of hard and soft edges, rough and delicate elements, drawing from their multifaceted personalities and celebrating the enduring power of love and the devastating force of hatred.
