My House - Cortina
"I often came to the Alps with Alan for holidays, usually Cortina, and we always dreamed that the kids would get used to a healthy life, in contact with nature from an early age. But we didn't find our dream home until 2012. The house was built in the 1940s so it was necessary to rebuild many parts of it. In the end we kept the wooden ceilings and a bow window from the original design. The living area is very important, here I eat lunch and dinner with my family and friends, it's a cosy space that's full of energy. Our bedrooms are upstairs. Interiors in the Alps tend to be too rustic, while I wanted something modern, Tom Ford style! Wood, wood, wood. Sometimes I feel like I'm living in a tree house!"
