“Family is the pillar of my life and I try to devote to it as much time as possible despite my busy schedule. The love of dear ones is the force of life; it gives us the strength to face the hardest challenges that come our way. Without family, I don’t know where I’d be now.”
“My love for dogs equals the love for my family, and that’s why they are an integral part of it. Their constant presence makes my daily life better. They are wonderful creatures capable of giving real love that is pure and unconditional without asking for anything back. I have always made personal efforts to defend the rights of animals, supporting many initiatives for their protection.”
My House - Bologna
“For me, my home is absolutely fundamental. Besides being a gathering place, it is a sanctuary where I can feel protected and serene. I like to call it “La Contadina” because it’s the result of a renovation of an old farmhouse with courtyard designed for two people, which then evolved along with my family, animals included. My home reflects my style and taste: minimalist but at the same time warm and inviting.”
My House - Cortina
"I often came to the Alps with Alan for holidays, usually Cortina, and we always dreamed that the kids would get used to a healthy life, in contact with nature from an early age. But we didn't find our dream home until 2012. The house was built in the 1940s so it was necessary to rebuild many parts of it. In the end we kept the wooden ceilings and a bow window from the original design. The living area is very important, here I eat lunch and dinner with my family and friends, it's a cosy space that's full of energy. Our bedrooms are upstairs. Interiors in the Alps tend to be too rustic, while I wanted something modern, Tom Ford style! Wood, wood, wood. Sometimes I feel like I'm living in a tree house!"
My House - Milano Marittima
"I was looking for a place, a sanctuary that was pretty close to home where I could relax and enjoy nature and the sea. For me this house represents luxury, a sense of harmony and overall balance that is achieved when the furniture and accessories interact with each other and is intrinsic in the refinement and clean lines and shapes"
